Work is scheduled to begin May 31 on an addition to Centennial Arts Academy in Gainesville.
A ceremonial groundbreaking was held for the project last Thursday. Friday was the final day of the school year in the city school system.
The work will involve a 35,458 square foot addition containing 30 classrooms. Construction is scheduled to be finished by mid-December.
Meanwhile, a public informational meeting will be held Monday night at 6:00 on plans for a new school in the Mundy Mill Homes area on Mundy Mill Road. That meeting will be held at the Mundy Mill Homes CommunityPavilion.
