VIDEO: Keselowski survives wild race for Talladega victory

Posted 8:00AM on Thursday 5th May 2016 ( 7 years ago )

Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway was a wild one, to say the least.

The race was slowed by 10 cautions for 41 laps, including several multi-car crashes that saw two cars flip and at least two more get airborne.

But on the final restart with three laps to go, Brad Keselowski moved to the lead, then moved high and low to hold off Kyle Busch for the win while several cars crashed behind them.

It marked Keselowski's second win of the season and his fourth overall at Talladega.  Busch finished in second, with Austin Dillon in third and Jamie McMurray in fourth.

Dawsonville's Chase Elliott started the day on the pole, led three times for 39 laps and came home in fifth position.

After the race, Keselowski was asked about all the on track carnage.  He spoke to the media about the race, as did Kyle Busch and Austin Dillon.

The NASCAR tours now head for Kansas City, as the Kansas Speedway plays host this weekend.
