ATLANTA — The North Hall boys tennis team historic season came to an end on Monday.

The Trojans dropped a 4-0 match to Marist in the Class AAAA semifinals -- halting a campaign that included the program's deepest-ever state tournament run.

Jackson Davis and Dalton Patterson each fell 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 and 2 singles, respectively, for North Hall. Reid Lattanzi, playing at No. 3 singles did not finish.

Meanwhile the Trojans' No. 1 doubles team of Paxton Gillespie/Daniel Martin fell 6-0, 6-1, and the No. 2 team of Matthew Chewning/Masa Kobayashi dropped a 7-5, 6-0 match.

On top of this postseason's incredible semifinal berth the five seniors on North Hall's team completed an impressive career that included four straight seasons of reaching the state tournament, a Region 7-AAA championship, an 8-AAAA championship and 65 wins.
