Blackshear Place Baptist Church schedules groundbreaking for new worship center

Blackshear Place Baptist Church plans a groundbreaking May 1 on Phase One of a new worship center, which is expected to cost more than $18 million.  The groundbreaking will be part of a number of activities beginning at 4:00 that will include food, activities for children and adults, and hot air balloon rides.

Phase One of the new Worship Center - expected to cost $18.1 million - includes:

• A 2,000-seat, state-of-theart worship facility with all the necessary support spaces and expandable capabilities to 3,000 seats

• A new Bridge Coffee Shop

• An operation center for our growing Facilities Ministry

• A net increase of 150 parking spaces • A renovation of two floors in Building D to support our growing Children’s Ministry

• A reworking of the utilities and site to facilitate future expansion and growth

Church members expect to be worshipping in the new facility vy Easter 2018. Construction will take approximately 24 months.
