CLEVELAND — The White County American Cancer Society Survivors Dinner was held Friday night and drew a large crowd.

Held at Mount Yonah Baptist Church, this year's event was attended by about 300 survivors and caregivers.

Those attending enjoyed entertainment, food and fellowship, and many won prizes.

The event was made possible because of the generosity of  Jerelynn and Matt Whitfield, who provided the food. The ladies at Mount Yonah Baptist Church served a variety of  desserts and all the Relay team captains provided the drinks.

Marshall Anderson, Relay spokesperson, said this year's Relay will be held May 20 at White County High School Stadium and will focus on the cancer caregivers.

A number of events will be held in the community to raise funds for the project goal.

About 300 cancer survivors and caregivers attended a dinner in their honor Friday night in White County.
