The Rotary Club of Gainesville capped off its 77th Annual Banquet by honoring two community leaders with its Man of the Year and Woman of the Year awards.

Garland Reynolds was awarded the Man of the Year honor, while Deborah Mack was named Woman of the Year.

Since 1939, the Rotary Club of Gainesville has sponsored the Community Man of the Year Award and added Women of the Year in 1944. The awards are conferred for leadership and service to the community, state and nation.  Each award is bestowed to those community leaders who have demonstrated extraordinary voluntary community service. The award has no relationship to membership in the Rotary Club of Gainesville and membership in the Rotary Club of Gainesville is not a criterion for the award.

The awards ceremony and banquet were held at the Chattahoochee Country Club.
