Boys basketball: Tigers get balanced scoring in win over White County

DAWSONVILLE — Kane Pelfrey scored all eight of his points in the first quarter and helped give the Dawson County boys a quick start in an eventual 61-37 win over White County Saturday.

The Tigers (3-3) used Pelfrey's hot start to jump out to an 18-10 lead after the first quarter. Dawson County extended its lead to 33-20 by halftime and led 46-28 going into the fourth quarter.

Dawson County got balanced scoring with six players scoring seven or more points. Cullen Reed led the Tigers with 13 points, Jeremiah Crumley added 10. Pelfrey, Campbell Reed, and Coey Watson all pitched in with eight points.

The Warriors were led by John Ward's 12 points.

Dawson (3-3) will be back in action on Tuesday at home again Rabun County.
