CORNELIA — A Cornelia man died of injuries after his car was struck by a pickup truck in Cornelia Tuesday morning.

Soubanh Tenakoun, 53, died when his blue 1998 Honda Civic four-door car was struck by a black 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck driven by Jason Way, 38, of Baldwin, according to Georgia State Patrol Post 7 in Toccoa.

Tenakoun's car was traveling west on Baldwin Road and has come to a stop sign at its intersection with Ga. 15 (441 Bypass), according to GSP. Way's truck was traveling north on Ga. 15 in the left lane, when Tenakoun's car failed to yield and pulled into its path.
