Truett women's soccer falls to Milligan, 2-1, in AAC play

CLEVELAND — The Truett McConnell women's soccer team gave up a goal late in the second half in a 2-1 loss to Milligan Monday afternoon at the TMU Soccer Complex. The Bears are now 8-8 overall and 4-4 in AAC play.

The Buffaloes scored late in the first half to take a 1-0 lead into the break. Paige Williams wasted no time knotting the match up in the second half, scoring in the 47th minute of play to tie the game at 1-1.

Milligan and TMU traded shots and saves throughout the second half before the visitors broke through in the 86th minute of play to bring the match to its final score.

The Bears outshot the Buffaloes, 12-9, in the contest.

TMU has one more regular season match at Reinhardt on Saturday night, with kickoff slated for 7 p.m. in Waleska.
