The Gainesville City School System is accepting nominations for names of its new elementary school, which is coming to Millside Parkway.
A submission form can be found online, and must be completed by Friday, Oct. 28.
Participants are asked to choose which aspect of their community would be most important for the school's name: geography, neighborhoods, streets, landmarks, historic events or grade designation.
School system officials anticipate opening the school for the 2017-18 school year.
