GAINESVILLE — The state’s No. 1 quarterback prospect brought his aerial show to The Brickyard Friday night, much to the dismay of the North Hall faithful.

Stanford-commit Davis Mills throw for 326 yards and 6 touchdowns to lead Class AAA No. 1 Greater Atlanta Christian to a 42-14 win over North Hall in Region 7-AAA action.

The Spartans (8-1, 5-0 Region 7-AAA) never trailed and led 21-0 before the Trojans (5-4, 2-3) got on the board with a 6-yard run by Jack Brown late in the second quarter.

Harrison Sloan paced the GAC receiving corp with 7 catches for 109 yards and three touchdowns. Jake Floyd also had 7 catches for 75 yards and one touchdown.

The Spartans defense also clamped down on North Hall leading rusher Kyle Bacus. The senior managed just 39 yards on 15 carries for the game. Caleb Shoemaker paced the Trojans with 66 yards on just 4 carries, including a 46-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter.

The win for GAC sets up a season finale with Dawson County in Dawsonville in two weeks for the Region 7-AAA. The loss for North Hall, which sits in fifth place, means the Trojans face a must-win next week against East Hall and need a Lumpkin County loss to be able to qualify for the playoffs.

North Hall's Jack Brown (28) runs away from Greater Atlanta Christian defenders in the Spartans' win on Friday in Gainesville.
