NORCROSS — Lumpkin County fell behind quickly and never recovered in a 49-21 loss to Class AAA No. 1 Greater Atlanta Christian Friday night in Region 7-AAA play.
Zach Matthews rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown Chandler Woodham had 106 yards rushing for the Indians (3-4, 1-2 Region 7-AAA).
Cole White added 75 yards and a score and Luke Smith had 40 yards rushing and a touchdown for Lumpkin County.
GAC (7-1, 4-0) have won five straight and will travel to The Brickyard next week to take on North Hall.
The Indians will play host to Fannin County next week in a huge region game for both teams to stay in the playoff race.
