Volleyball: Lady Vikings split with White Co., Tallulah Falls

The East Hall volleyball team split matches with White County and Tallulah Falls on Thursday.

The Lady Vikings (18-7) took out White County 25-16, 25-14 and fell to Tallulah Falls 25-15, 25-21.

Minette Maldonado had 12 points scored on serve with 6 aces, 18 kills, 1 block and 11 digs to help lead East Hall, while Jessica Chmiel had 12 points scored on serve with 2 aces, 1 kill and 3 digs. Lorna Ayon had 7 digs; Summer Lindsey had 7 points scored on serve with 2 aces and 16 digs; Savannah Thellman had 11 points on serve with 3 aces, 25 assists, 1 kill and 3 digs; Niyah Rucker had 6 kills and 1 block; Cassida Shockley had 1 point scored on serve, 7 kills, 1 assist, 2 blocks and 1 dig; Holly Poole had 3 points scored on serve, 1 kill, 1 assist and 5 digs; Fabi Sanchez had 3 points scored on serve with 1 ace and 4 digs.

The Lady Vikings play at East Jackson on Sept. 3 against Hart County and East Jackson, beginning at 5 p.m.
