GAINESVILLE - The First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville will hold its third annual Local Mission Expo Saturday, and 26 local charities are expected to exhibit. Breakfast will be served at 8:00 and the expo will dismiss at 10:30. to allow church volunteers to work at various agency projects. Work includes painting, yard work, cleaning and more.
On Sunday, church members will be asked once again to pledge hours of work during the year at the different agencies. At last year’s expo members of the church had worked 12,200 hours, and the goal for 2014-2015 was set at 15,000 hours.
