CUMMING - One person was seriously injured after a three vehicle crash in Cumming late Tuesday morning.

According to Forsyth County Sheriff's Deputy Robin Regan, the crash happened at the intersection of Marketplace Boulevard and Mary Alice Park Road.

"One of the drivers was transported with serious injuries to an area hospital, one driver was transported with minor injuries and is in stable condition and another driver was injured, but did not require treatment on scene and refused treatment," Regan said.

The roadway was shut down while crews investigated and cleared the accident. Regan said the road reopened around 12:30 p.m. but may still be congested.
