CUMMING—A Georgia prison escapee who allegedly stole a truck in Forsyth County is behind bars in North Carolina.

According to a post on the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, Eric Coe, 20, was arrested in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Coe reportedly walked away from a work detail August 12 in Monroe County, Ga. and stole a vehicle in Lamar County.

That vehicle was found in Forsyth County, and a pickup truck was stolen on Settingdown Road.

Forsyth Deputies said the stolen pickup was found with Coe.

Authorities said last week that Coe's arrest history involved theft and burglary.

He was about halfway through a 120 day boot camp program in Monroe County when he escaped.
