CLERMONT—The town of Clermont has set its special election, which will be held in in conjuction with November's general election.

That election is to fill the seat recently vacated by former councilwoman Lynn Adams.

Councilman John Brady, according to an email from Town Clerk Sandra Helton, asked for a straw vote to be placed on the ballot on November 3 to potentially sell beer and wine along the 129 corridor.

Nobody else backed the motion, so it failed.
