Men charged with rape, false imprisonment near Homer

HOMER - The Banks County Sheriff's Office has charged three men with rape in connection with an incident that occurred July 28 on Union Hill Road near Homer.

Details of that incident have not been released because of the ongoing investigation, according to Banks County Sheriff's Sgt. Carissa McFaddin.

"The victim was known to the suspects, so it's not a stranger incident," McFaddin said.

Julio Baltizar Juan, 34, of Cornelia is charged with rape, false imprisonment, and public intoxication, jail records show.

Thomas Pasqual Juan, 33, of Homer is charged with rape, false imprisonment, and public intoxication, jail records show.

Martin Francisco Martin, 34, of Alto is charged with rape and false imprisonment, jail records show.

The three men remained incarcerated at the Banks County Sheriff's Office Law Enforcement Center as of midday Monday.

"It's a continuing investigation," McFaddin said. "Additional arrests are not expected at this time."
