CLARKESVILLE—A microburst with straight line winds caused damage to a small area in Clarkesville Friday morning.
Clarkesville Fire Chief Jerry Palmer said the storm damage was mostly isolated from the area of Rocky Branch Road at Gabrels Drive to the area of Ellison Street at Dennis Street.
The majority of the damage was to trees and power lines, though a couple of structures also were damaged.
Palmer said more information will be available later.
