ATLANTA (AP) Atlanta police are seeking a woman they say disappeared after giving employees of a fast-food restaurant a note saying she was being held against her will and needed help.

Police say the woman left a Wendy's restaurant around noon Monday after passing the note and got into a waiting pickup truck, which drove away.

Police say the woman is LaShonda Marie Cortez. They are asking her or anyone who sees her to contact them so they can verify her well-being.

Police Capt. Michael O'Connor told reporters Tuesday officers had found the truck. The driver told police he's known Cortez about a month and dropped her off later and hadn't seen her since.

The driver wasn't aware of the note and said there were no problems between him and Cortez.
