Video: Rain can't dampen thrill of Bristol victory for Kenseth, Logano

Posted 8:00AM on Wednesday 22nd April 2015 ( 9 years ago )

Call it the 10 hours of Bristol.

After five hours of rain delays, three red flags, 11 cautions and lots and lots of rain, the checkered flag finally flew after a green-white-checkered finish to bring the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway to an end, albeit some six hour later than had been planned.

And while many were glad to finally be able to load up and get ready for the next NASCAR race weekend at Richmond International Raceway, we’re going to return to Bristol for one last look at an exciting race weekend.

Matt Kenseth snapped a 51-race losing streak by holding off a hard charging Jimmie Johnson to the checkered flag for the victory, with Jeff Gordon in third.  Afterwards, all three talked about their races, along with winning car owner Joe Gibbs.

On Saturday, Joey Logano dominated the NASCAR Xfinity Series race, leading all 300 laps en route to the victory.  Afterwards, we heard from Logano, along with second place finisher Daniel Suarez and third place Chris Buescher.

Looking ahead, the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series moves to Richmond International Raceway for the third short track stop of the season.  WDUN will have live MRN Radio coverage of the complete race weekend.
