GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Correctional Institute (C.I.) is hosting an inaugural golf tournament to benefit a number of agencies devoted to ending human trafficking in Georgia.

The tournament is scheduled for Monday, May 4 at Chattahoochee Golf Course.  A continental breakfast will be held at 7:00 with a shotgun start to follow at 8:00.

The cost to participate is $100 per person or $400 for a team of four.  Sponsorships are also available at rates that range from $100 to $5,000.  Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Beloved Atlanta, Street Grace and Revved Up Kids - all agencies devoted to the fight against human trafficking.

"Studies have named Atlanta as the number one city in the United States for sex trafficking, and Hall County has been identified as a 'hot spot,'" Hall County Warden Walt Davis said.  "I firmly believe that events like this golf tournament will help bring awareness and financial support to these organizations and this growing problem in our community."

Anyone seeking additional information is asked to contact the Hall County C.I. at 770-536-3672.  More information, including a registration form, is also available at hallcounty.org
