JEFFERSON -- Ethan Garner and Jake Franklin led Jefferson to a key Region 8-AAA double header sweep Friday against cross-town rival Jackson County.
Garner paced the Dragons (16-4, 12-3 Region 8-AAA) to an 8-3 win in Game 1. Franklin limited the Pantehrs to just one run ina 6-1 victory in Game 2.
Taylor Wilkes, Christian Hutch, and Franklin led Jefferson at the plate in the two games.
The losses for the Panthers (10-10, 5-7) snapped a four-game win streak. Jackson County had knocked off the Dragons 2-0 on Tuesday in their first meeting.
Jefferson next will play host to Riverside Military Academy on Tuesday in a non-region contest. Jackson County next will play host to East Jackson on Tuesday.
