Habersham County Sheriff Joey Terrell said two people were fatally shot at a home on Key Road off Dicks Hill Parkway around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, but declined to release additional details about the male victims or the circumstances surrounding the shooting due to the ongoing investigation.
As of 9 p.m. Wednesday, Terrell said that GBI was wrapping up the on-scene portion of their investigation.
GBI Region 8 Special Agent in Charge Kimberly Williams confirmed agents are assisting, but declined to elaborate on the nature of the case at this early stage of the investigation.
Terrell added that officials hope to release more information and victims' names Thursday morning.
