TOCCOA - Former Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran has been speaking all over the region ever since he was terminated from his job last month following the release of a book that - in part - denounced homosexuality. Cochran now is bringing his story to Toccoa Falls College in north Georgia.

Since his firing, Cochran has become the center of a controversy surrounding the right of free speech and religious liberty. Cochran's book "Who Told You That You Were Naked" is at the center of the controversy. While Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed said Cochran was fired because he failed to follow procedure with the release of the book, supporters claim Cochran was fired for publicly stating his Christian beliefs.

Cochran will share his story Thursday, February 12 at 7 p.m. in the Grace Chapel and Performing Arts Center at Toccoa Falls College.

Admission to the event is free.
