NICHOLSON - Jackson County Fire/Rescue and EMS rescued a person that was trapped in a vehicle after a wreck on Highway 334 in Nicholson Friday morning.
According to a release from EMS Director Steve Nichols, two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision.
The victim in the first vehicle was sent to Athens Regional Hospital in guarded condition. The victim in the second vehicle had to be extricated with the Jaws of Life and was sent to the hospital in serious condition.
Nichols says the Georgia State Patrol is investigating the cause of the wreck.
