(VIDEO) Player of the Week: Cain trashes Fannin to spark Leopards win

HOMER — Banks County football needed a spark on Friday night.

And Trevae Cain was happy to help provide it.

The Leopards senior standout rolled up over 300 yards of offense (267 yards rushing), scored five touchdowns and even forced a fumble on defense as Banks County ran away in the second half for a 52-28 win over Fannin County -- the Leopards led just 17-14 at the half.

The win helped vault Banks County back into the thick of the Region 7-AAA playoff race, while Cain’s performance led him to be named the Loco’s Grill and Pub Friday Game Night Player of the Week.

The Leopards (4-2, 1-1 Region 7-AAA) have an off week this Friday but are excited about their prospects heading forward – and the play of Cain is a big reason why.

Friday Game Night and AccessWDUN editor Morgan Lee recently caught up with Cain to talk about his performance, Banks County’s big win and how the rest of the season is shaping up for the Leopards.
