GAINESVILLE - Gainesville city officials are warning motorists to expect some delays Wednesday morning as Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) crews begin patching pavement at a major intersection.

GDOT is scheduled to begin patching work at the Jesse Jewell Parkway and E.E. Butler Parkway intersection at 9:00 a.m., according to Gainesville spokeswoman Catiel Felts.

Once the intersection is complete, Felts said workers would continue patching to the intersection of Jesse Jewell Parkway and John Morrow Parkway.

While the Gainesville Police Department will assist with traffic, Felts said officials are urging drivers to use other routes if possible.
