GAINESVILLE - Habitat for Humanity of Hall County will once again be hosting its annual playhouse competition and fundraiser at Gainesville's Mule Camp Market next weekend.

This year’s theme is Battle of the Builders and will feature a showdown among five local high schools.  Construction classes from Gainesville High, Chestatee High, Flowery Branch High, West Hall High and Johnson High will participate this year.

Winners will receive awards, media recognition and an appreciation letter to the local school boards and principals.  A panel of community leaders and construction professionals will be judging this year’s entries. Participants will be judged on the following basis:  Built to Specifications; Best Exterior Design; Best Interior Design; Attention to Detail; Best Use of Proper Construction Techniques; and the highly coveted, Best of Show.

Visitors to Mule Camp will have the opportunity to buy raffle tickets in the hopes of winning one of the playhouses.  Winners of the playhouses as well as the winners of the high school awards will be announced at Mule Camp on Sunday, October 11, at 4 p.m.
