ATLANTA - A Georgia State Patrol trooper has been fired for driving excessively fast in a crash that killed two teenagers from Paulding County.

Local news media reports that 26-year-old Anthony J. Scott was fired Friday after 17-year-old Kylie Hope Lindsey and 16-year-old Isabella Alise Chinchilla died in a Sept. 26 car crash.

Lindsey and Chinchilla were backseat passengers with 18-year-old Dillon Lewis Wall and 17-year-old Benjamin Alan Finken in the front seat. Both Wall and Finken were injured and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Investigators say Scott was driving 91 mph five seconds before the crash. Scott slowed down to 68 mph before he struck the vehicle while attempting a left turn. The speed limit in the area is 55 mph.
