Drug search in Hiawassee leads to two arrests

HIAWASSEE - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation North Georgia Regional Drug Enforcement Office and the Towns County Sheriff's Office arrested Matthew Scoot King, 38, and Amanda Claire Peluso, 36, both of Towns County, on Friday following the execution of a search warrant at 206 Cypress Drive in Hiawassee.<br /> <br /> Investigators seized more than one ounce of methamphetamine, in addition to cocaine, marijuana, hydrocodone, alprazolam, and methadone.<br /> <br /> King and Peluso were charged with trafficking methamphetamine and other Violations of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act. <br /> <br /> The investigation continues.<br /> <br />
