Theft ring trio arrested by Gainesville, Oakwood Police

GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville Police Department, working in conjunction with the Oakwood Police Department and the North Georgia Major Offenders Safe Streets Task Force, has charged three Gainesville subjects with operating a theft ring and gang charges. <br />
<br />
According to Gainesville Police spokesman Corporal Kevin Holbrook on August 17th officers encountered three subjects who were in possession of a stolen vehicle.<br />
<br />
Further investigation showed that the subjects were responsible for a number of thefts in the Gainesville and Oakwood area according to Holbrook. <br />
<br />
"Investigators have charged the subjects with motor vehicle thefts and entering autos in and around the Gainesville area. Police recovered stolen items including vehicles, and stereos," Holbrook said. <br />
