Northside Hospital expands Mobile Mammography Services to Pickens Co.

ATLANTA - Beginning Sept. 30, Northside Hospital's ScreenAtlanta mobile mammography van will offer digital screening mammograms in Jasper on a quarterly basis. The ScreenAtlanta van will be located in the parking lot of the Kroger at 115 Bill Wigington Parkway, at the intersection of Highways 515 and 53.<br /> <br /> ScreenAtlanta Mobile Mammography is a community service of Northside Hospital and offers digital screening mammography on a year-round basis. <br /> <br /> "We use the same state-of-the-art mammography equipment available at the hospitals and our outpatient imaging centers; it's just in a mobile unit," said Kathy Kinsella, operations manager, Northside Hospital Radiology. "And all mammograms on the ScreenAtlanta van are performed by certified female technologists, in a private and comfortable setting."<br /> <br /> Appointments are required and participants must meet American Cancer Society and Northside Hospital screening guidelines to qualify.
