GSP releases details of fatal Rabun County wreck

CLAYTON - A two-vehicle wreck in heavy rain claimed the life of a North Carolina woman and injured six others Saturday afternoon near Clayton.<br /> <br /> According to the Georgia State Patrol, 64-year-old Reba Sue Worley of Franklin, N.C., died of injuries in the wreck involving the Nissan pickup driven by her husband.<br /> <br /> The husband, whose name wasn't given, was seriously injured and was flown to Greenville Memorial Hospital, according to GSP.<br /> <br /> The Nissan pickup was northbound on U.S. Highway 441 just south of Clayton about 5:50 p.m. when the truck crossed the grass median during heavy rain and struck a southbound Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 35-year-old Benito Vargas.<br /> <br /> Five people in the Tahoe were injured, and were taken to the hospital in Rabun County.<br /> <br /> All occupants of the vehicles were wearing seatbelts, GSP reports.<br /> <br /> The investigation is continuing.
