Sign-up open for Hall Co. Sheriff's Citizen Academy

GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Sheriff's Office Citizens Academy is extending an invitation to anyone interested to join with them for their 10-session training program beginning October 7th.<br /> <br /> The sessions take place over a six week time period, meeting on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6PM until 9 PM. <br /> <br /> Officials say the Academy will offer a unique perspective into the daily operations of the sheriff's office, including classroom instruction, simulated presentations and a few hands-on activities to give those interested a better understanding of the inner workings of the Hall County Sheriff's Office. <br /> <br /> Those interested are asked to call Sandy Garrett of the Court Services Division at (770)531-7093 or Captain Chris Matthews (770)531-7095. <br /> <br /> Applications are available online at <a href="http://www.hallcounty.org/sheriff"> www.hallcounty.org/sheriff</a>.<br /> <br /> <br />
