Rabid raccoon found in N. Hall

GAINESVILLE - A rabid raccoon recently came in contact with two dogs in the Looper Circle area of North Hall.<br /> <br /> Hall County Animal Services officials say they were told Wednesday that a rabies test on the raccoon came back positive.<br /> <br /> This is the 14th confirmed case of rabies in the county this year.<br /> <br /> "Rabies alert" signs will be posted in the area where the raccoon was found. County officials say anyone who sees an animal acting abnormally in this area or anywhere in the county should contact Hall County Animal Services at 770-531-6830 or call Hall County Dispatch at 770-536-8812 during non-working hours.
