Storms leave behind downed trees in Gainesville, Hall Co.

GAINESVILLE - Stormy weather than moved through parts of Hall County Monday night and Tuesday morning left behind some downed trees but there have been no reports of structural damage or injuries.<br />

"We had a few trees down around Joe Chandler East Hall area," Hall County Emergency Management Agency Director David Kimbrell said Tuesday morning.<br />
<br />
Gainesville Fire Department spokesman Keith Smith said "I understand there were some downed trees in the Brenau area and there was a downed power pole at the intersection of Washington Street and Main Street."<br />
<br />
Rainfall overnight Monday at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport was .29 inches. The top wind gust at the airport during the storms was 39 miles-an-hour.
