Softball: GHS opens new field in style with 9-5 win

GAINESVILLE -- The Gainesville softball team opened its new facility in style on Thursday, defeating West Hall 9-5 in Gainesville. <br /> <br /> Kayla Street earned the win in the pitching circle for the Lady Red Elephants to move to 3-1 on the season. Street pitched a complete game, yielding 6 hits and just 1 earned run. <br /> <br /> Madison Oliver had 3 hits with 2 doubles to pace Gainesville (5-1). Courtney Presnell added a single and 2 RBI.<br /> <br /> The game was the first at Gainesville's renovated on-campus field.
