Volleyball: East Hall bounces back to take two of three matches

RABBITTOWN -- The East Hall volleyball team took its record to 9-2 on Thursday in Rabbittown, dropping one but winning two matches. <br /> <br /> The Lady Vikings opened the night by taking a loss from East Jackson 18-25, 25-23, 25-16 but finished strong by defeating Madison County 25-17, 25-14 and Johnson 25-18, 25-14.<br />  <br /> Jessica Chmiel had 9 points on serve with 4 aces, 8 kills, 1 block and 2 digs to help lead East Hall, while Minette Maldonado had 16 points on serve with 8 aces, 12 kills, 2 assists and 4 digs. Ashleigh Burnett also scored 5 points on serve with 3 aces, 1 assist, 8 kills and 7 digs, and Emily Roberts had 3 points on serve with 8 kills, 1 dig and 2 blocks. Allyson Segars also had 30 points on serve with 21 aces, 14 kills and 3 digs; Savannah Lindsey had 8 points scored on serve, 1 ace, 1 assist and 33 digs; Cassida Shockley had 13 points on serve with 9 aces, 5 kills, 9 digs and 37 assists; Julissa Flores had 3 pts. on serve with 1 ace and 1 kill; Clarissa Flores added 2 digs.<br /> <br /> The Lady Vikings play in a tri-match starting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at Winder Barrow.
