NGTC welcomes new Institutional Researcher; instructors complete Georgia master teacher experience

CLARKESVILLE - North Georgia Technical College has added the position of Institutional Researcher and has tapped Mark Harmon for the role.<br /> <br /> "Our philosophies and initiatives at the college are turning away from measuring enrollment and are now fully focusing on student success," said NGTC President Dr. Gail Thaxton. "We recently joined the Achieving the Dream network and are embarking on a journey to use data to support our efforts to help students to succeed."<br /> <br /> "We have a large data pool to work with from TCSG which allows for smoothing the statistical noise," said Harmon, who comments that he likes numbers, data, and can find a needle in the haystack. "I am impressed with the technology available here at North Georgia Tech, and I'm looking forward to looking at the disaggregated data. The amount of data is overwhelming, and I want to put it into a format that can be used by everyone
