Hornsby leads way for USA at ICF World Championships

MOSCOW -- The final day of racing of the 2014 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships came to a close on Sunday, as four American boats -- including one guided by a Lanier Canoe/Kayak Club associate -- took to the water to compete in various finals. <br /> <br /> The top result for Team USA came from 2012 Olympian and LCKC competitor Tim Hornsby (Atlanta) in the K1 Men's 200M "B" Final, where he finished second. <br /> <br /> Hornsby crossed the finish line in 34.503 seconds, just behind Bulgaria's Kristian Dushev, who took gold with a time of 34.489.
