Plane makes emergency landing at Ga. Army airfield

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) -- A Delta plane made an emergency landing at an army airfield in Georgia after getting low on fuel while avoiding dangerous weather.<br /> <br /> The flight landed at the Hunter Army Airfield just before 4 p.m. Friday. The plane to Savannah departed LaGuardia Airport in New York.<br /> <br /> Army spokesman Steve Hart says the flight's 155 passengers left the plane at the airfield and waited out the storms in the terminal. Officials planned to fly or bus passengers to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.<br /> <br /> Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport spokeswoman Lori Lynah says a plane making an emergency landing at the Army airfield is unprecedented.<br /> <br /> A Delta representative was not immediately available on Friday evening.<br />
