Master chefs from China to visit the Oaks at LCCA

GAINESVILLE - Lanier Charter Career Academy (LCCA) principal Dr. Cindy Blakley has announced that on August 28, three master chefs from Taiwan, Republic of China will be visiting with LCCA's culinary students at The Oaks. <br /> <br /> The chefs will be visiting the United States as part of the International Food Festival Featuring Taste of Taiwan in Duluth. <br /> <br /> During their visit, they will conduct several food preparation demonstrations and will introduce culinary students to Taiwanese Cuisine.<br /> <br /> LCCA's is beginning its fifth year of operation. High school students in the Hall County School System can attend LCCA for several periods a day to study culinary arts, cosmetology, advertising, and hospitality. <br /> <br /> As part of classroom instruction, students operate several businesses that are open to the public, including a meeting and event center; the Bistro at The Oaks, a casual fine dining restaurant; and the Reflections Salon and Spa.
