FLOWERY BRANCH - Efforts by the south Hall municipality to encourage local business growth are showing fruit.

So much so that about twenty-five Flowery Branch businesses have banded together to form the Flowery Branch Business Owner's Association.

Patty Phillips is the owner of Calliope Sweets on Main Street and a member of the association. She says the association, which encompasses businesses on Main Street and Atlanta Highway, was created so business owners could support one other.

"Right now we've got about twenty-five businesses that are involved," Phillips said, "and about fifteen to eighteen that are there every month when we meet."

Phillips said the group began meeting in January with six people.

"We're all small business owners. We all struggle with some of the same problems. So we decided it would be great...to get together and work as a group to see if we could help one another...or promote one another."

"That's our main focus, promoting one another," Phillips added.

She invites all interested to attend an "After Hours" event held in conjunction with the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday on Main Street in Flowery Branch from 5 to 7p.m.

More information is available at the Flowery Branch Business Owner's Association Facebook page.
