Rabid cat comes into contact with 2 people in E. Hall area

GAINESVILLE - Hall County officials said Tuesday morning two people had contact recently with a rabid cat in the Gillsville Highway area of East Hall. <br /> <br /> The cat was shipped to the Georgia Public Health Lab-Virology Section in Decatur for testing and Hall County Animal Control received positive results Monday. <br /> <br /> Officials said this is the 13th confirmed case of rabies in Hall County for 2014.<br /> <br /> Positive alert signs will be posted in the area where the rabid cat was located.
