Tuesday, August 12, 7 p.m. History Forum: The Gainesville Northwestern Railway<br />
​Line​Chris Brooks will present information on the railway line and how it <br />
​served sawmills in the Helen, GA area. Admission is free for History Center<br />

Sunday, August 17, 1- 4 p.m. Family Day: We've Been Working on the Railroad<br />
​View railroad history of the Northeast Georgia region through exhibits of<br />
​artifacts, memorabilia, and photos. Special exhibits include a working<br />
model train; local railway café, The Big ear Café; and Operation Lifesaver<br />
Railroad Safety. Participate in interactive exhibits of railroad tools and<br />
communication, make railroad crafts, and more. Admission is free, courtesy of<br />
