Flowery Branch police, GBI investigate suspicious package

FLOWERY BRANCH - A portion of Spout Springs Road was closed Friday morning while officers investigated a suspicious package found at the intersection of Holland Dam Road.<br /> <br /> Flowery Branch Police Chief David Spillers said his officers discovered the package around 5 a.m. sitting in the concrete roadway divider between Publix and Stonebridge Shopping Center.<br /> <br /> The bomb squad from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called to assist in the investigation.<br /> <br /> Spillers said the device, which was wrapped in tin foil, was some type of electronic security device.<br /> <br /> Spout Springs Road was re-opened just after 7 a.m.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
