Barrow Co. fire damages home, displaces three

WINDER - A Tuesday morning house fire in Barrow County displaced three residents.<br /> <br /> According to Lt. Scott Dakin with Barrow County Emergency Services, the call came in just after 8:15 a.m.<br /> <br /> Dakin said the house is located in the 200 block of Scott Circle. <br /> <br /> "First arriving firefighters found heavy fire showing in one corner of the home," said Dakin. "Upon further investigation they found two rooms of the home heavily involved and starting to spread fast."<br /> <br /> Dakin said firefighters made a very aggressive attack and were able to contain the fire to the two rooms that were initially involved. <br /> <br /> The remainder of the home suffered smoke damage according to officials. <br /> <br /> Dakin added that the three residents were not home at the time of the fire, but as a result of the damage they have been displaced. <br /> <br /> The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Investigation Team. <br />
