Forsyth schools hosts state STEM Leadership Summit

CUMMING - Forsyth County Schools, STEM Georgia (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Discovery Education partnered Friday to host the Georgia STEM Leadership Summit.<br />

It was billed as "an interactive discussion on best practices for providing Georgia's students with the critical thinking and problem-solving skills they need to succeed in the STEM careers of tomorrow." More than 50 teachers and administrators from across the state are participating. <br />
<br />
The meeting explored the best ways to implement "innovative curricula" to enhance STEM education. <br />
<br />
Since 2001, Forsyth County Schools has partnered with Discovery Education to transform teaching and learning in classrooms district-wide. Currently, students grades K-12 have access to Discovery Education Streaming Plus, a comprehensive digital library of more than 100,000 learning assets aligned to state and national curriculum standards.
