More than 159K voted early in Ga.

ATLANTA - More than 159,000 people voted early in Georgia for Tuesday's runoff elections. This number, released by Secretary of State Brian Kemp's office Monday, includes mail-in ballots.<br /> <br /> Early in-person voting ended Friday but mail-in absentee ballots can still be cast until the polls close Tuesday night.<br /> <br /> Below are the numbers for the July 22 runoffs as well as the May 20 primary elections.<br /> <br /> *Runoffs:<br /> <br /> Number of ballots cast: 159,152<br /> <br /> Number of ballots voted in person: 134,267<br /> <br /> Number of mail-in ballots returned: 24,885<br /> <br /> Number of mail-in ballots outstanding: 12,717<br /> <br /> Number of ballots cast, Republican: 121,678<br /> <br /> Number of ballots cast, Democratic: 36,677<br /> <br /> Number of ballots cast, Nonpartisan: 797<br /> <br /> <br /> *May 20 primaries:<br /> <br /> Number of ballots cast: 239,281<br /> <br /> Number of ballots voted in person: 214,975<br /> <br /> Number of mail-in ballots returned: 24,306<br /> <br /> Number of mail-in ballots outstanding: 14,385<br /> <br /> Number of ballots cast, Republican: 147,995<br /> <br /> Number of ballots cast, Democratic: 88,316<br /> <br /> Number of ballots cast, non-partisan: 2,970<br /> <br />
